We don’t want our blogs to be about ‘the next big thing in the world of accountancy’…and we suspect you don’t want that either! So, each month, we will share details of one of our favourite, tried and tested gins.
Batch is a relatively new, and local gin…handcrafted in Burnley and available since 2014.
Our interest was easily piqued by the launch of a Lancashire gin, and Batch has quickly become a favourite of ours for its unique taste.
It is heavily spiced; infused with 12 botanicals. On opening the bottle, the aroma quickly hits the nose. Similarly, the first sip provides a rush of flavours – strong but beautifully balanced.
Although Batch is certainly one to be enjoyed throughout the year, the rich spices make it particularly appealing as a Christmas tipple (so now is the time to stock up)!
We enjoy it served simply with Fever Tree tonic, ice and fresh lime. However, the Batch team offer a serving suggestion of crushed raspberries and lime zest (which certainly sounds appealing).
Batch doesn’t seem to be widely available…but Booths are definitely a stockist and it also seems possible to purchase via the Batch website.
Disclaimer… we are not affiliated with Batch gin in any way and are giving this review as very keen – but by no means professional/official – gin tasters!
